In March 2025 , we completed the final lodge in our 3 new additions to Heathfield Highland Estate . Rowan, Cedar and Osprey Lodge are luxurious brand new eco-lodges , located in the heart of the Highland countryside and offering the perfect escape into nature . Each lodge has 3 bedrooms, a master King or twin with en suite bathroom , a further King or twin room and a double bedroom . There is also an immaculate family bathroom with rainfall shower . The living area is open plan offering the perfect place to relax with picture windows onto the countryside and neighbouring lochs . A brand new, fully equipped modern kitchen with a large fridge freezer , washing machine and microwave is located in the living area with a large dining table which can seat up to eight people. The wood burning stove adds to the cosiness of the living area which is the perfect place to cosy up on the sofa , for nature watching or chilling out with a book.
By installing a state of the art underfloor heating system and solar panels for power we are striving to maximise comfort for our guests and reduce our environmental impact .
The three lodges are located at the edge of one of our trout stocked lochs, we can provide rods for guests to have a go at catching their tea! Clashdhu Woodland Walk is a 2 mile circular path we have created with Scottish National Heritage , through the forests . It starts on your doorstep , going to Calrichie Moor and back round to Heathfield . We are dog friendly and this is an ideal wee walk with furry friends , there are also paths around both of the lochs to enjoy.
We have a lovely natural play area at Heathfield with a climbing frame and chute if you are holidaying with wee ones . Each lodge also has a barbecue if you fancy having an alfresco tea – even cooking the fish fresh from the loch !
